

Kenneth was born in High Point, September 20, 1927, a son of the late George and Josephine Cecil Poindexter. He was a Navy veteran of W. W. II and was a graduate of High Point College. Kenneth retired from Thomasville Furniture after more than 25 years of service. He was a member of Rankin Memorial United Methodist Church, an avid golfer, gardener and loved ballroom dancing with his wife, Doris. Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Doris S. Poindexter, a sister, Lois Poindexter and a brother, Donald Poindexter.
Surviving are a son, Randy Poindexter and wife Selah, three grandchildren, Miranda, Kendall and Carson Poindexter; sisters in law, Mae S. Shuskey and Marge Poindexter; special nieces, Dana Shuskey DeHart and Christa Shuskey Hall and numerous other nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Kenneth’s Life will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Keith Edwards. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Mark Beck, Thomas Beck, Chris DeHart, Mike Hall, David Shuskey, and Donald Shuskey. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 1pm until the service.
