Kevin Paul Flaherty

Kevin was born in Hudson County, New Jersey to James (Jim) and Margaret Patricia (Largey) Flaherty on October 17, 1960. He married Shannon Elizabeth Goett on March 5, 1983 in San Diego, California. He graduated from Kearny High School in 1979. From which time, he entered the Navy for five years until he was honorably discharged. He worked as an electrician for most of his life. The last few years he worked at the Hampton Inn in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. For almost four years he has been a Friend of Bill.

Kevin was preceded by his father, Jim; his brother, John, and his brother-in-law, Richard Kijak.

Kevin was survived by his mother, Patricia Flaherty, wife Shannon Flaherty, three children, Nicole (Chris), Maureen (John), Brenden (Laura), eight grandchildren, Evelyn, Owen, Amelia, Duncan, Simon, Becket, Henry, and Lucy, seven siblings, James (Bernadette), Eileen (William), Janet (Tom), Stephen (Phyllis), Brian (Wendy), Barbara (Hector), Patrick (Keith), 32 nieces and nephews many beloved cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 6-9pm, Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Sechrest Funeral Service, 1301 East Lexington Avenue, High Point, North Carolina.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday February 1, 2017 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Vincent Smith officiating. Burial will be at 10 am Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Salisbury National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sechrest Funeral Service.
