Lillian "Jo" Josephine Hodgin Williams

She was a 1940 graduate of Jamestown High School, attended business college, and worked several years as a bookkeeper for Woolworth’s Department Store. A member of Sedgefield Presbyterian Church, she participated in the food ministry providing food when needed. She enjoyed sewing, particularly quilting, and made and gave away well over 100 full-sized or lap quilts. While she enjoyed all cooking, she had a reputation for making pies.

Josephine is survived by her children, Judith Williams Wilson, Karen Williams Koontz, Keith Williams (Cathy), and Myra Williams Montgomery (Roger); by six grandsons,

Ben and Mark Williams, Paul and Erik Koontz, James Wilson, and Sean Montgomery; and by great-grandchildren, Samantha Williams, Nathaniel McDaniel, Kael Cline, Hudson Koontz, and Katherine, Margaret, and Lillian Wilson. She was preceded in death by husband John Daniel Williams, by sons-in-law James Wilson and Tony Koontz, and by great granddaughter Stella Koontz.

A graveside service will be held at Floral Garden Park Cemetery, 1730 W English Rd, High Point, NC 27262 on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at 2:00 pm.
