Marjorie M. Gilleland of High Point passed away peacefully at Shannon Gray Rehabilitation and Recovery Center on Thursday November 20, 2014. Mrs. Gilleland was the widow of Theodore H. Gilleland. Surviving are her daughter, Mary J. Halvorsen and her husband Jim of High Point and their two children Scott od Raleigh and Sara of Charlotte.
She was born in 1922 in Strawn, Illinois, and raised in Danville, Illinois. She attended DePauw University before marring Mr. Gilleland in 1943.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point; a private family service will be held in Illinois.
