Martha Janet Campbell Cline

A lifelong resident of this area, Janet was born May 2nd, 1933 in Jamestown, a daughter to the late Ellwood Atlas and Ethel Edwards Campbell. She was a member of Oakdale United Methodist Church, the Adult Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women of the church. Janet was an active supporter and participant of Relay for Life and was a charter member of the Mary Perry Ragsdale YMCA in Jamestown. For over twenty years she was employed by G. E. Capital and retired as office manager in 2004. On June 6, 1955 she married Joe Billy Cline, who died on March 20th, 1968. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Roxie Campbell and a brother, Jack Campbell.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna McGuire and her husband Shawn of High Point; a son, William Martin Cline and his wife Cathy of High Point and one granddaughter, Jordan Annette McGuire. Also surviving are three step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 am Friday at Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point followed by a graveside service and burial, at 11:00 am in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery with the Reverend David Blackenburg officiating. Immediately following the graveside service, there will be a service to Celebrate Janet’s life in the sanctuary of Oakdale United Methodist Church.
