Martha Connor Greenfield

Mrs. Greenfield was born September 24, 1921 in Seneca County, Fostoria, Ohio to Charles Rollo Connor and Carrie Lefler Connor. She was a graduate of the Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte and was a nurse at Charlotte Memorial Hospital and High Point Memorial Hospital. Her most outstanding responsibility and love was being a homemaker and caring for her family. Mrs. Greenfield was a member of the Eastern Star in Elwood, Indiana and Christ United Methodist Church, High Point and the Young at Heart Club of the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Greenfield in 1982. Both were graduates of Fostoria High School in 1939. Also preceding her in death were a grandson, Kevin Julius and her three siblings, Virgil and Carl Connor and Edna Winters.

She is survived by her children; Janet G. Hanock and husband Ronald of Charlotte, Richard D. Greenfield and wife Lynnette of High Point, Susan C. Julius and husband Michael of Huntersville, NC and Judith G. Ward and husband Thomas of Mint Hill, NC. Mrs. Greenfield has seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in Floral Garden Park Cemetery with the Reverend Anthony Ward, her grandson, officiating. The family will receive friends at Sechrest Funeral Service on E. Lexington Avenue in High Point from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. Wednesday prior to the graveside service.
