Marty was born in Okaloosa County, FL December 23, 1943, a daughter of the late Cecil and Lucille Nixon. She was a long-time faithful member of Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church where she was a choir member, Mission Friends Leader and a member of the Wiggs circle. Marty retired from Sears in 1998 after many years of service. She was loved by everyone and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years, Donald "Don" Livengood; a brother, Delmer Dwain Nixon; two sisters, Winona Marilyn Nixon and Gwendolyn Marie LeBlanc; and a grandson, PFC Ivan Rowe.
Marty is survived by her son, Michael Livengood (Jane); a daughter, Tammy Rowe (David); grandchildren, Beth Livengood Butcher (Ralph), Catherine "Catt" Livengood, Jennifer Rowe, Rebecca Rowe and Melissa Rowe; a great-granddaughter, Amariana Little; sisters, Rita Scott, Nancy "Easie" Bass and Diane Memory; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Marty's life will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Roy Cantrell and Rev. Ben Rowe. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 1 until 2:30 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Abbotts Creek Labor of Love Ministry.
