Naomi Jean Lovelace (McLamb), age 85, of High Point, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, after a brief illness. Naomi was born October 26, 1936 in Sampson County, North Carolina to the late Bennie Walton McLamb and Naomi Wilson McLamb. Naomi spent most of her life in High Point. She attended High Point High School. She single-handedly raise 5 children, working, serving many other family and friends, and eventually helping raise her grandchildren as well. She was also known to many as "Sassy" and anyone who met her knew why. Naomi was also able to make a great impact on her great grandchildren, even making goofy faces to make them smile and feel at ease in the last moments they saw her.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, sons Bryant Lovelace and Brian Lovelace; her sisters Margaret McArthur, Annie Sanders, Evelyn Crumpler; and her brothers Joydon McLamb, Loftin McLamb, Max McLamb, Len McLamb and Ben McLamb.
Naomi is survived by her daughters Beth Hawks, Kit Lewallen & husband Scott, Kim Hilliard & husband Todd; her sons Scott Lovelace, Ken Lovelace & wife Marianne; her sister Kitsie Auman; her grandchildren Jennifer Jolley & husband Josh, Ann Arrington & husband Chris, Allison Hobbs & husband Jordan and Jordan Lewallen.
Mrs. Lovelace is also survived by six great-grandchildren & numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Naomi's Life will be Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 4:00 pm, in the chapel of the Sechrest-Davis Funeral Service, Phillips Avenue.
