

Mrs. McLean,96, died April 22, 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia.
She was born on July 6, 1928, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, the daughter of Annie Bailey and Robert Lee Hubbard, Jr. A graduate of High Point High School, she graduated from the Woman’s College of the University of North Carolina in 1950. In December of 1952, she married Calvin C. McLean, Jr. of Greensboro, who preceded her in death after fifty-nine years of marriage.
Patricia was an active member of her church wherever the family lived and served on the Board of The Village Chapel of Pinehurst. She was a dedicated homemaker and community volunteer, serving many years in The Junior League of High Point and Atlanta, Piedmont Garden Club in Atlanta, the Southern Pines Garden Club, and as President of the Friends of Penick, Pinehurst. She also volunteered as a docent at the North Carolina Museum of Art. She was a member of the Colonial Dames of the XVII Century. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, tennis and bridge. She enjoyed travelling with her husband, Mac, after their retirement to Southern Pines, NC. Her steadfast loyalty to her friends will be missed. Her signature was her beautiful white hair and ready smile like her mother’s.
She is survived by three daughters, Anne Bailey McLean Zschau, Mary Clark McLean Moore (Owen) of Raleigh, NC; and Patricia Anne McLean of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Marilyn McLean Zschau Lawrence (Penn) of Charlotte, NC; Robert Hubbard Zschau and Mary Barnes Moore of Raleigh; two great-granddaughters MacKenzie McLean Lawrence and Lillian Bailey Lawrence of Charlotte.
The family would like to thank Betty (Criss) Murchinson for her loving support and care over the years and the staff of St. Anne’s Terrace and The Piedmont of Buckhead.
A private graveside service will be held at the Oakwood Memorial Cemetery in High Point with Pastor Ashley Smith of The Village Chapel officiating.
