Peggy Sue Lackey Bradley

A resident of this area all of her life Peggy was born on October 1, 1958 to Thomas Harold Lackey Sr. and Ersa May Lackey. She was of the Baptist faith and had worked as a hairdresser. On October 4, 1974, she married Jimmie Bradley, Sr. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Harold Lackey, Sr., brothers, Michael Ray Lackey and Thomas Harold Lackey, Jr., and sister, Brenda Kay Ray.

Surviving are her mother, Ersa May Lackey; husband, Jimmie Bradley, Sr. of the home; two sons, Jimmie Bradley, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Sophia and Kevin Bradley and his wife Chris of Mt. Airy; and five grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Betty McDonald and her husband Carol of Rockingham, Joyce Cartrette and her husband Ronald of Level Cross, Jane Herring and her husband William of Archdale, and Carolyn Hopkins and her husband Danny of Thomasville.

A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, Jan. 6th in the chapel of Davis Funeral Home, 976 Phillips Avenue, High Point with Rev. Rick Shoemaker and Rev. Chester Pope officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Ridge Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Belews Creek. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday, Jan. 5th at the funeral home.
