Ms. Ruby Martin, 91, of High Point passed away Saturday July 2,2016 at The Hospice Home in High Point. She was born in Surry County in 1925, she worked with family at Swaim’s Abattoir for years and attended Crestview Baptist Church.
Ruby loved working in her yard and with her flowers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Wood Martin. She is survived by one son Leonard Douglas Martin of High Point and her daughter Shirley Martin Rollins and husband John Rollins of Kernersville; 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
The family will receive friends at Sechrest Funeral Home on Lexington Ave in High Point on Wednesday July 6, 2016 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens on High Point Rd in Winston Salem on Thursday July 7, 2016 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Hospice Home of High Point.
The family would like to thank the hospice staff for wonderful and loving care that was given to Ruby.
