Sadie T. May

Sadie was born on March 6, 1925 in New Jersey to the late Sam Trentacosta and Ana D’Amore Trentacosta. Sadie married her sweetheart Alfred May in 1944. After Alfred’s death in 1970, Sadie established Sadie May’s Ristorante in Jamestown in 1974. She ran the Ristorante for 32 years. Sadie loved gardening and cooking, was very big on celebrating the holidays with her family, and was very devoted to her Catholic faith. She loved her Yorkie, Chloe, who was her constant companion for 13 years. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Rasperski; brother, Joseph Trentacosta; sons, Al May and David May; and a granddaughter, Emily May.

Surviving are her children, Paula White and her husband Gary of Jamestown and Patricia Shelor of Trinity, and her sister, Rose Porco of New Jersey. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2pm Tuesday, October 15th at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1505 E. Kivett Drive in High Point. Burial follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Monday, October 14th at Sechrest Funeral Service, 1301 E. Lexington Avenue in High Point.
