Sally Louise Ray Snider

Sally was born in Greenville, SC, January 3, 1924, the 5th of eleven children of Thomas Ervin Ray and Ada Edwards Ray. In 1946, she married Julian Snider who passed away in 1974. Sally retired from Western Electric Corporation (AT&T) in 1981. Since then, she spent a great deal of time volunteering and in keeping with her nature, continued to be a loving, caring, giving person. She was a longtime member of Lexington Ave. Baptist Church.

Surviving are her son Julian Ray (JR) Snider and his wife Janice of Kernersville, one sister, Josie (Jo) Ray Frazier and her husband Walter Richard Frazier of Randolph, County and a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, a graveside service will be held at Floral Garden Cemetery Friday at 1 p.m., led by longtime family friend Mr. Joseph Farabee. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home, 976 Phillips Ave., High Point, NC

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Cancer Services of Forsyth County, 3175 Maplewood Ave., Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to Hospice Home at High Point, 1803 Westchester Dr. High Point, NC 27262
