Samantha Shelby Carter

Samantha Shelby Carter, 41, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, November 20, 2023.

Samantha was born in High Point, July 23, 1982, a daughter of William Carroll Carter and Georgia Lynn Williams Carter. She had a very tender heart, loved her family, friends and all animals dearly. Samantha loved the beach and watching Bewitched (she was named after Samantha!). She was preceded in death by her father and her husband, Robert Lamm; paternal grandmother, Stella Hitson; maternal grandfather, Fletcher Williams, Jr.; uncle, Fletcher Williams III; aunt, Heather Williams Johnson; great-uncle, Alex Groves; cousin, Mason Allred and other family members.

Surviving are her mother, Georgia Williams Winslow; two brothers, Matthew Winslow, his wife Emily and their children, Jakob and Scarlett and Michael Winslow; maternal grandmother, Katherine Williams; Sammie's companion, Bryant Hilliard; step-father, Lloyd Winslow; aunt, Rose Lambert and her husband Jim; cousins, Sunny RIchardson and husband Clint, Anna Ferguson, Lara McColley and husband Scott, Jared Johnson and Daniel Johnson and other extended family members.

No formal services will be held. Memorials may be directed to Campgoldenyears.org for Senior Dogs or any animal rescue organization of donor's choice
