Shelby Jean Patterson Johnson, age 85, of High Point, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. Shelby was born in High Point, NC on April 7, 1938 to Charles and Opal Sechrest Patterson.
Shelby spent many years as a teacher assistant at Trindale Elementary in Archdale. She attended Highland United Methodist Church as well as First Wesleyan Church.
Shelby is survived by her son, Greg Johnson of High Point; two brothers, Charles Patterson of Archdale, NC and Ron Patterson of Little River, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations, 976 Phillips Avenue, High Point, NC 27262 on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Floral Garden in High Point.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont at 1801 Westchester Dr, High Point, NC 27262 or Alzheimer's Association at 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
