Sherman loved fishing and watching wrestling, westerns, and football. His morning routine included watching the birds while having a cup of coffee. He loved having a meal with his family and telling everyone jokes. He was known for his great sense of humor and sarcasm. For the last several years, Sherman's granddaughters, Alicia Spencer Kakuk, Casey Lynn Spencer, and Emily Jean Spencer, aided in his care. He will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, Sherman was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Jean Spencer; two sons, Sherwin Michael Spencer and Dion Ray Spencer; one brother and one sister.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Chris Allen Spencer; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and sister, Cheryl Malpass.
A visitation will be held at Sechrest-Davis, 976 Phillips Ave, High Point, NC 27262, on January 25, 2025, from 12pm-2pm.
