Cookie I am so sorry for your loss.  Gene was such a great guy.  Any time you run in to the two you, no matter how long it had been since we had seen you, we always left laughing.   He had such a fun personality. My thoughts and prayers continue for you and you family.

Uncle Gene could always make something happen, when we were building our home many years ago l wanted something in our home that we couldn’t find on the market and Gene took my appliance and made it happen. You will always be missed and loved.

Dennis has known Gene for 46 years and he was his Supervisor at Mickey Body from 1976 until 1982. And I've known Gene for the past 43 years. Dennis and I are both very sorry for your loss of Husband of Spouse,  Cookie, Father to Son, Kevin and Father in Law and Grandfather to 2 BEAUTIFUL Grandchildren. Gene Sikes,  what can I say about a man that I have known for 50 years, that have been more to me than a mentor  more than boss more than a friend even a father. He’s my family and I love him and I miss you already.  Rest my friend.

I wish he had written a book with his stories and adventures. Every time we saw him there was some craziness he had done, been involved in, or instigated. Whether it was his 37 retirements, car or building repair, or just his life in general we would laugh forever! But he always made us feel our friendship was important to him. We will continue to be blessed for having him in our lives. Thank you for sharing him all these years.

I walked  in Mickey Truck back in 92 needing  a job we didn't  have  Human resources Back then he was the one that gave me a job I remember to this day 30 yrs later  what he said why do you want to work here? Me: I need to take care  of my family Gene: where do you see yourself in 10 yrs if I give you this job me: I hope setting  where your  setting  right now Gene Sikes  smiled  at me said Damn son your  going  to work  out well here was there 29 years   Danny  Pitts 

I am so sorry to hear of Gene's passing. I worked for Gene in 1978 and became friends and are still to this day. I respected him and we got along very well, never having an argument. Thats a good friendship you don't come by very often. When I told Gene in 1978 I had a chance to go to work for a trucking company he said what are you waiting for! We still stayed in touch as he would call me to see what kind of deal I could get LP gas for each year. I will miss his call. God Bless the family during this difficult time.

I never met Mr. Sikes,but I worked with his son Kevin. We are still friends and stay in touch. I  know Mr.Sikes was a family man. He loved his family. Kevin I know that your parents love you and are very proud of you! I  will be praying for the family for God to help you through the pain of losing your loved one. God bless you and your family. Gene was always someone that could make you laugh.  His stories were so funny and you always enjoyed hearing them.  One of my greatest memories was our family going to dinner with Gene, Cookie and Denton to talk Disney.  We had so much fun and definitely laughed a lot!  Gene will truly be missed.  Love and prayers to all of the family.💕💕💕
