

Mrs. Wall was born in Anson County, to Marsellus “Sell” and Laura Jane Johnson Thompson. She graduated from Ellerbee High School and Jones Business College in High Point. She was secretary for Occidental Life Insurance Company and Manager of Athol Manufacturing Company, retiring in May of 1983. Mrs. Wall was a former member of the Furniture City Woman’s Club, and currently a member of First Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher for the Radiant Sunday School Class and a member of the Baptist Women.
Mrs. Wall was preceded in death by her husband, Everett F. Wall in 1990 and by her sisters; Carrie Lefler, Stella Ussery, Emma Bailey, Ola Virgie Thompson, and Sadie Lefler; and brothers, Ealie, Lee, Pearl, and Floyd Thompson and a half-brother, Horace Lefler.
Surviving are her daughter; Laura Harris and husband James of Raleigh and a son David Everett Wall and wife Rita of Spartanburg, SC. There are three grandchildren, Lauren Currin and husband Michael, Sarah Williams and husband Matthew, and Jennifer Wall and two great grandchildren, Emma and Hodge Williams.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wall will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m.
at First Baptist Church with the Reverend Gil Gulick officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Gathering Space of the church from
10:00 a.m. Friday until the hour of the service.
