William Stevens Creech Jr.

William Stevens Creech, Jr. passed away on January 28, 2013 at his home in Greensboro, N.C. Steve was born August 8, 1952 in High Point, the only son of Iris Culler Creech and William Stevens “Bill” Creech. He attended High Point city schools, The McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tenn. and graduated from Guilford College. In recent years Steve worked in security at Greensboro College. Steve married Sharyn Moffitt in 1988 and lived in Asheville for many years. He was a caring stepfather to her three daughters. He loved art, music, and traveling the country to visit his family and friends. Steve will be remembered as a strong swimmer, a gentle soul, and a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Surviving Steve are his three sisters, Betsy Creech Raymond of Durham, Mary Anne Creech McIntire of Raleigh, and Susie Creech Fowls and husband Don of Paradise Valley, Az. He also is survived by his nieces, Sarah Raymond Williams and husband Carl, Liz Raymond Montgomery and husband Chad, and Kathryn Elizabeth McIntire; and three nephews; Matthew Fowls, Kristian Fowls, and Lucas Fowls, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation and services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Sechrest Funeral Services, 1301 E. Lexington Ave, High Point. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with the service to follow at 11:30 am

Afterward there will be an inurnment at the Columbarium at First Presbyterian Church in High Point.
