

On Friday, August 5, 2011, Mr. William Graham Disque passed away at Beacon Place Hospice Home following a brief illness. The youngest of five children, he was born on July 11, 1925 in State College, PA to the late Frederick C. and Jean Caldwell Disque.
Bill grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia and attended Davidson College and The University of Virginia before earning a bachelor’s degree at The Penn State University.
Mr. Disque worked for several companies including Southern Dairy, DuPont Company, Heritage Furniture Company, and Woodmark Originals before founding the Disque Furniture Corporation (currently Jessica Charles). He retired in 1994 at the age of 69.
Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was in the Amphibians of the Pacific in World War II. He was a devoted family man, charter member of Jamestown Presbyterian Church and a long- time member of Sedgefield Country Club. Other longstanding interests were golf and Duke basketball.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Disque Lange and 3 brothers, Frederick, Jr., Joseph and Donald Disque.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Carol Disque of Greensboro and Jan Kiefer of Stuart, Florida.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 8th at Jamestown Presbyterian Church. The family will greet people immediately following the service at the church. Interment will be private at Guilford Memorial Park.
