James J Onohan

James J. Onohan, age 63, of Merrillville, IN passed away Monday, July 2, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda (nee Wagenblast); five children: Stephen Onohan, Aaron (Ben Scott) Onohan, James Onohan, Julie (William) Zaragoza and Sarah Onohan; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Onohan. Friends are invited to meet with the family Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN with a Celebration of Life Service to follow the visitation at 8:00 p.m. Rev. James Meade and Deacon Michael W. Halas officiating. Mr. Onohan retired as an outside salesman and service representative. He was the Music Director for numerous Catholic churches in the area. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s loving memory to the Hospice of the Calumet Area or a charity of your choice.
