Maurice Lynn Boling of DeMotte IN passed away Monday, October 22, 2018. He was born May 31, 1951 in East Chicago, IN, the son of Ulysses (Pratt) and Darlene Mae (Langel) Boling. He is preceded in death by his mother Darlene Mae (Langel) Boling, father Ulysses Pratt Boling, brother Joey Langel, great nephew Zachary Holland and two special friends Pam Kelly and Nancy Sanders. He is survived by brother Kevin Boling of Tustin, CA, sister Patricia (Jerry) Russell of DeMotte, IN, brother Steven (Vickie) Boling of DeMotte, IN, sister Suzie (Kurt) Jedlicka of St. Charles, IL, and sister in law Betsy (Randy) Sofie of Oakdale, MN.
He loved his nieces and nephews, Alex Boling of New York City, NY, Ashley (Zachary) Pike of Bend, OR, Brandy Havlin (Donnie) of DeMotte, IN, Cary (Carlos) Figueroa of Hammond, IN, James (Jill) Dukes of Wheatfield, IN, Stephanie (Mitch) Sytsma of DeMotte, IN, Adam McCurley of St. Charles, IL, Sarah McCurley of St. Charles, IL, Hannah McCurley of St. Charles, IL, Benjamin McCurley of St. Charles, IL, James (Marcy) Holland of Valparaiso, IN, and Angela (Will) Stone of Elk River, MN.
He also loved his great nieces and nephews Renee Farris of DeMotte, IN, Arissa Ruano of Bloomington, IN, Carlitos Figueroa of Hammond, IN, Ariana Figueroa of Hammond, IN, Wyatt Dukes of Wheatfield, IN, Madison Dukes of Wheatfield, IN, Corbin Sytsma of DeMotte, IN, Kinley Sytsma of DeMotte, IN, Tiffany Holland of Valparaiso, IN, Samantha Holland of Valparaiso, IN, and Jessica Stanizewski of Valparaiso, IN.
He was an Army Vietnam Veteran from 1968-1971 (National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 DVC, Expert (Rifles M-14, M-16). He was an OTR truck driver who loved driving up and down the highways, seeing the country. He loved his birthday trips to Gulf Shores, AL. He would say this was a fountain of youth and spend time with his good friend Al Pucak. He loved being on the boat on the lake. A memorial luncheon to be at a later date.
