Beth Alison Lipscomb, a loving daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 57. Born in Pontiac, Michigan, on May 14, 1968, Beth was the cherished daughter of John and Janet Lipscomb.
Beth was preceded in death by her beloved son, John Paul Lipscomb, and her father, John Lipscomb, who was a source of strength and guidance throughout her life.
She is survived by her devoted mother, Janet Lipscomb, who remained her steadfast supporter, her brother, Paul Lipscomb, along with his wife, Mary Lynn, her nieces, Sarah (Logan) Ward and Grace Lipscomb, and nephew, Matthew Lipscomb.
Beth attended St. Hugo of the Hills grade school (Bloomfield Hills, MI) and Marian High School (Bloomfield Hills, MI) and graduated with a business degree from Northwood University (Midland, MI). She worked in mortgage collections and later managed a cash advance office after relocating to Florida, where she lived for twenty years. Beth returned to Michigan in 2016.
Beth’s laughter and sense of humor will be sorely missed. One of her favorite places was her parents' cottage on Lake Ogemaw in northern Michigan where she held countless cherished memories of family and friends. Her favorite summertime activities at the lake included boating, waterskiing and campfires under the stars. Beth’s aversion to fish and weeds was a source of big laughs for her and all those within earshot. Trying to keep her toes above the water made swimming and waterskiing quite the spectacle. In the winter, she enjoyed ice skating and snowmobiling. Speeding over a frozen lake or open field or slowing down to take in the beauty of a snow-covered forest trail brought her great joy. Additional interests included keeping up with friends through Facebook and the latest political news.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Right to Life in her memory, a cause she cared deeply about.
A Memorial Mass will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 7, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, located on 9086 Hutchins Rd, White Lake, MI 48386. Family and friends are welcome to gather between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM.
Beth will be laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery in Waterford Township, MI. She will be profoundly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched.
