Duane Homer Benedict, 83 years old, residing in Holly, Michigan, passed away on February 28, 2023. Duane was born on September 1, 1939 in Pontiac, Michigan where he also grew up. At the age of 22, he married Christi Leinenger. Later he became a loving father of Darlwyn Benedict, Derk Benedict, Deborah (Jeffrey) Thompson. Devoted grandfather of Sara (Daniel) Zachow, Nicole Benedict, Holly (Mike) Lanni, Keith Benedict, Teia (Chad) Irwin, Teresa (Dennis) Gardner, Bradley Thompson, and Brett Thompson. Great Grandfather of Tyler, Chance, Cadence, Daniel Jr, Camdyn, Paisley, Jaxen, Teagan, and Alaina.
Duane was an avid duck hunter, excellent auctioneer and recently became a Wii bowling enthusiast. He will always be remembered for opening his home for family reunions and snowmobile trips. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
