Edgar William Eno

Edgar William Eno, age 79, of Hartland, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at his home. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Nancy; his son, Randy (Deann) Eno; his two grandchildren: Aspin (Joel) Amick, and Jarid Smith; and his sister, Laura Smith.

Edgar was born October 9, 1942, in Tarrytown, New York, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Garland and Alma (Herguth) Eno. He met Nancy Auten through a family member, and it was love at first sight! Nancy and Edgar began dating, and were eventually married on November 28, 1964, sharing fifty-seven wonderful years together. Throughout his professional life, Edgar worked as a millwright for General Motors for thirty years. After his time at GM, Edgar decided to start his own business, and operated it for twelve years until his retirement in 2008. Edgar was a longtime member of the Spark Plug Car Club of South Lyon, and enjoyed the many friendships he made over the years. Edgar also had a great passion for hunting and fishing; some of his fondest memories were made on trips taken up north for hunting season. Edgar and Nancy traveled all over the United States, even visiting nearly every National Park. He was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed.

Edgar was preceded in death by his daughter, April Catalogna, who died on August 3, 2019; his parents, Garland and Alma; and his sister, Lorraine Gillman.

In accordance with Edgar’s wishes, cremation will take place. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road, Highland, Michigan 48356. Edgar’s family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
