To the Elkins Family. Sorry to hear that Flo passed. I worked with her in the 1970 and 1980's. She was a very kind person. She will always be thought of as a honest and kind person. So sorry for your loss. Penny Patterson.

"Flo" as we here at Kensington Heights called her remember her as a warm hearted as well as a fiesty woman at times who knew everyone's name when they came into the office. She will be remembered for her gift of Avon every year at the Senior Christmas parties. Personally when I would talk to her she always as I am sure she did others called people "honey' when speaking to them:) You will be missed Flo

Flo,
I just got home from a visit with the family at your house.  I watched as everyone just went through the motion of life.  I listened to their stories, we looked at pictures. My heart broke as I watched your boy friend Paul wander from room to room telling us what a fighter you were and how much he is going to miss you. I'm assuming you called him your boy friend because he refers to you as his girl friend.  I had tears and I had laughter all in the same moment. We reminisced of the times you saved our butts at the bowling tournaments when we acted like silly teenagers. No matter what you you stuck up for everyone you loved.  
As I sit here thinking of you what comes to mind is how much you loved your family.  How very proud you were of them.  Always talking about one of them.  

I have to thank you because without you I would not have your Cindy as my best friend. I can't imagine my life without her in it. I promise you I will be there for her thru this most difficult time. 

To the family, I am so incredibly sorry for the loss of your wife, mother, grand mother, sister.  May god wrap his arms around you and help you in this most difficult time.

Dear Granny,

This whole process doesn't feel real. I don't even know where to start or how to put my feelings for you down in words. You were the best grandma someone could ask for. Your love for your family was outstanding. You always went above and beyond to make sure your kids and grandkids were alright. Losing you has been really hard. But I realized something. We didn't lose you, we lost the body that carried around that spitfire attitude and giant heart of yours and Now we will always have you in our hearts, that's one place you can never escape from. Thank you for being you and being so wonderful to all of us. I'm really bummed at the things you will miss in person in the upcoming years but I know know that I can take on the world because you will be watching over me every step I take from now on. I love you forever and always 

It's never goodbye, it's always see you later as you always told me!

I was saddened to hear that Flo had passed. She had been such a regular face at Kensington Heights Cooperative for so many years that it is hard to comprehend that she is not just enjoying her retirement. May God Bless her family and give them strength during this difficult time. I will remember Flo as the proud Grandma that she was and we would compare Grandkids and their antics that made us so happy. RIP my friend.

Paul I will miss Flo and , I love to share with Flo the memories of your wedding Day .Do you remember that we Both share the same Anniversary ? I am very sorry to hear of Flo's passing.  She spoke of her children and grandchildren and how proud she was of them.

I never called her by name it was always ma I will always remember her life advice and the times at the Bon fires we had she will be missed . Paul Sr and Jr and rest of the family you have my deepest sympathy love ya all

I'm not grieving the loss of your body so much as I'm grieving the loss of your spirit. You were such an amazing woman and you have taught me so much about love, life, and not taking anything for granted. You had such passion for everything you did no matter what it was and that gave you such a fiery personality. 

You gave me the most precious gift you could in my mother and I can't ever possibly put into words how thankful I am that you live on through her, through Poppy, and through the rest of us. 

We will grieve your body for a short time but your spirit for a lifetime. My heart aches for the things you'll miss this year but I know you'll be there every step of the way. Lilah will know you and love you just as much as I do.

So sad that I have lost my cousin,Dolly. We grew up together and were like sister's. I will alway's remember you singing happy birthday to me over the phone-nobody could do it like you!!! I'm sorry for the pain in your heart you had for such a long time and happy you won't feel that anymore.You are now with your mom and dad and my mom and dad and all your cousins. Mom, as I sit here trying to come to terms that a piece is missing from our lives, I've realized that you have given each and everyone of us a gift. You taught us to be strong, grateful, caring, compassionate, courageous, generous, thoughtful and most of all to love one another and stick together.  You mom were our rock in the family and you will be missed each and everyday, but your memory will live on through us and will never be forgotten.  You always called me your daughter, never your daughter in law.  I am honored that you were my mother and I had you in my life.  I miss you so much. Flo will be greatly missed.  She was always there to help and lend a hand when needed.  My condolences to her family, she was a very special person.
