Frank Ernest Guzowski

Frank Ernest Guzowski, Sr., age 93, was born December 26, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan and passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on September 17, 2017 in Highland, Michigan. Beloved husband of the late Rita, married November 30, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan. Together with his wife, they raised six great children who were taught family values from their parents. Loving father of Michael (Vicki), Jerry (Kathy), Doreen Kosieracki, Frank (Randy) Keith (Laura) and Dawn (Mark) Grigereit. Proud grandfather of Shannan, Michael, Amanda, Brian, Kandace, Hailey, Nathan and Steven. Treasured great-grandfather of 16. Mr. Guzowski was a decorated WWII Veteran, U.S. Army, Corporal 298 Combat Engrs C Bn and a member of the American Legion.Funeral Mass is tentatively scheduled for 11:00 am. Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Church of the Holy Spirit, 3700 Harvey Lake Road in Highland. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road (M-59) in Highland and Tuesday at church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan following funeral mass.
