Jason Davis Towns “Jay”, age 28; passed away suddenly on May 23, 2012. Jason was a 2002 graduate of Goodrich High School. He loved hockey and was a devoted Redwings fan. He cherished time with his son Joseph. His hobbies were disc golfing and fishing with friends. Proud father of Joseph; dear son of Charleen and the late James Towns, Jr.; caring brother of Jennifer (Andrew) Parke, Steven Kopka; uncle of Luca, Kalib, Bonnie, and Ava; grandson of Coralee (the late Charles) Boice, James, Sr. (the late Darlene) Towns; along with many dear friends. The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road, Highland. Visitation hours will be Monday, May 28, 2012, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Independence Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorials strongly suggested to the Joseph Smith Trust Fund c/o Jennifer Parke.
