John R. Blumberg of Highland, passed away July 18, 2017 at 89 years of age. Loving and devoted husband of Andrea. Cherished father of Diana (Ron) Morency of Warren, Patricia (Skip) Hoornstra of Clinton Township, Sandra (the late Walter) Jakubowski of Gerton, NC and John (Laura) Blumberg of Clinton Township. Step-father of Elizabeth (Tom) Mersino of Evart, Deanna (Bob) West of Lake Orion and Tim Liley of Grand Blanc. Treasured grandfather of 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and many grand pets. Brother of Margaret Bischof, Barbara (Gary) Nance, Judy (Mike) Ganley the late Doris (Larry) Collins and Samuel Blumberg.
John enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm. Memorial contributions suggested to Heartland Hospice.
