John "Jack" Walter Ashton; Age 86, passed away October 20, 2014 in Commerce Township. Mr Ashton was born to John Sr. and Pearl Ashton on June 18, 1928 in Holmesburg, Pennsylvania. Jonn is survived by his 4 children, Sue (George) Kerver, Bill (Helga), Bob (Katie), Betty Cotner and Brian Hulslander, 9 grand children and 9 great-grand children. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Frances and his long time companion of 15 years, Ellie Myers. The Memorial Service will be at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Highland Chapel of Elton Black and Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Rd., Highland, Michigan 48356. The family will receive friends and relatives beginning at 4:00 p.m. til the time of service. Memorials may be made in honor of Mr. Ashton to: Disabled Veterans Association.
