Judith Claire Calvert

Judith (Judy) C. Calvert, originally from Highland Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2021, at the age of 77 in Cookeville, Tennessee. Judy was born on June 26, 1944, in Pontiac, Michigan, daughter of Edwin E. Pifer and Margaret (Glougie) Pifer. She married the love of her life, James, January 18, 1964 and they spent over 57 years devoted to one another. She is survived by her Husband - James C. Calvert of Crossville, Tennessee.; Daughters - Jodi Calvert-Hyvonen (Lou) of Michigan, and Julie DeChane (Bobby) of Michigan; four Grandchildren - Jimmy, Joseph, Jodi, and Jenna; Great Grandson – Jared; Brother - Richard Pifer of Michigan; and Sister - Carolyn Piaskowski of Michigan. In life Judy loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed crafting and tending to her flowers. She especially loved Christmas and all that goes along with it. Prior to her retirement, Judy worked as an Administrative Assistant. Once retired, she and husband Jim moved to Crossville Tennessee where they enjoyed spending time with friends and sitting on their deck watching the boats go by. In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her Brother in Law – Gerald Piaskowski. In accordance with Judy's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will take place at the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home on Saturday, October 23, 2021.
