

Linda J. (Signs) Evans of Highland, passed away July 12, 2023 at 78 years of age. Beloved wife of the late William Eli Evans who preceded her in death on March 27, 2022. Loving mother of of Joyce (fiancee George Parks), Lisa (Jason) Gibson and Kelly (Steve) Parks. Proud grandmother of Heather (Kyle), William, Arianna, Alyssa, Harlie, Hunter, and Gunner. Treasured great-grandmother of Zachary and Mackenzie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Sadly, she is preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Roy (Barb) Lynch and her parents, Jimmie and Mable (nee Hamlet) Lynch.
Linda was born February 14, 1945 in Gainesville, Tennessee to Jimmie and Mable Lynch. She married the love of her life, William on July 17, 1982 and they were married nearly 40 years. She and her husband were avid Harley Davidson fans. She traveled the United States on the back of his bike creating many wonderful memories. Among her many interests, Linda enjoyed gardening in her early years. She liked quilting, sewing and more recently coloring and drawing. She loved country and western movies and especially enjoyed watching her favorite actor, Matt Dillon and Gunsmoke. Her southern charm and personality will be greatly missed.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 6:00pm at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road in Highland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00pm until the time of the service at 6:00pm. Linda will then be reunited with William at 1:30pm on the date of their anniversary, Monday, July 17, 2023 at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery in Flat Rock.
