Mark Andrew Venie

Mark was a man who believed deeply in his faith. For more than 40 years he served as an elder at Tri-County Christian Church. Mark had a passion and interest for politics. He was a proud Democratic voter. He ran for State of Michigan House of Representatives, hoping to make a meaningful difference through public service. When Mark was in better health, he enjoyed golfing and spent many years volunteering as a AYSO Soccer coach. Mark also enjoyed teaching his Sunday School Class at his church and loved being part of the ensemble. Mark retired from General Motors and was also a technical writer for the automotive industry for many years.

He is the beloved husband of Jacqueline Venie, loving father of Sean Venie, Caitlin (Aaron) Aumann and Ryan Venie; proud grandfather of six and brother of David (Carmen) Venie, Russell (Patricia) Venie and Lizabeth Venie.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Tri-County Christian Church, 13020 Holtforth Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church.
