Patrick F. Murphy, age 76; of Highland; passed away on April 10, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Janet Anne for nearly 54 years; loving father of Keith (Susan); Michele (James) North; Tish Murphy; Brian (Cindy); Judi (Matt) Barron; Norine (Brendan) Kolb; Beth (Mike) Benoit; Wonderful grandfather of Shanna, Jamie, Rachel, Jenna, James, Dianne, Nick, Brenna, Matthew, Nathan, Salina, Sean, Kelly, Grace, Kathyryn, Ryan, Trevor, Molly, Danny, Connor and Eric. Great grandfather of Brandon and Hailey; Loving brother of Ray (Maggie), Don (the late Anne), the late Dave (Norine) and Peggy (John) Clark. Cherished brother in law of Larry (Beverly) Quinn; terrific uncle and friend to many. Patrick was preceded in death by his daughter, Dianne, and his parents, Raymond and Margaret Murphy. Visitation, Wednesday, April 13, 2011, between the hours of 2 – 8 p.m. at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road, Highland. The funeral mass will be Thursday, April 14, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 3700 Harvey Lake Road, Highland. Mr. Murphy will lie in state at church on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until mass. Interment at Pine Lake Cemetery, West Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home for the Salvation Army or Capuchin Soup Kitchen. He was loved by all and will forever be a part of our lives.
