Sally Jeanne Collins, age 69, of Flagler Beach, Florida – a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend – passed away peacefully on January 13, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of generosity, creativity, and unquenchable zest for life.
Sally was born on October 5, 1954, to Maureen and William Rosser in Detroit, Michigan. Sally graduated from Ladywood High School in 1972. Sally married Randy Collins on November 22, 1986. They had two children – Caitlin and Robert – and together they built a life filled with love, creativity, and adventure. Sally's love for her family was boundless, and she prioritized them above all else, embodying the essence of a loving, patient, and nurturing soul.
Sally's adventurous spirit was evident in her love for sailing, camping, and traveling. She embraced every opportunity to explore the world and its wonders, always eager to embark on a new journey or learn something new. Her artistic talents in quilting, embroidery, and woodworking – a craft she lovingly shared with her husband – were not merely pastimes, but extensions of her vibrant and creative spirit.
Sally's kindness, selflessness, and generosity were the cornerstones of her character. Her sense of humor – a seamless blend of wit, intelligence, and playful mischief – and her infectious laughter were sources of comfort and happiness to all who knew her. Her graceful and composed demeanor was a guiding force in the lives of her family and friends.
Sally leaves behind her husband of 37 years, Randy Collins; her children, Caitlin (Brenden) Martinez and Robert Collins; her siblings, Betsy (Lou) Roos, Bill (Carol) Rosser, and Bob (Dawn) Rosser; her beloved aunt, Mary Hale; her best friend of over 20 years, Patti McGill; as well as 13 nieces and nephews, and four grand-nieces and grand-nephews – a family that adored and cherished her. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Maureen and William Rosser; her uncle, Robert Hale; and her in-laws, Jennie and Edward Collins.
The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring Sally's life and legacy through several commemorative events on Friday, January 26, 2024.
