She was born in Michigan City, Indiana on February 22, 1936. She married the love of her life, Antonio Alfonso Giannone, on March 3, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan. They started a family in Warren, Michigan and settled on Cedar Island Lake in White Lake, Michigan in 1969. It was here that they watched their children grow and became loving grandparents. Many wonderful years of family gatherings and traditional Lebanese and Italian meals were shared with friends and neighbors. Shirley’s passion was sharing her love with her children and grandchildren, playing cards with friends, and spending time with all of her loved ones. Her radiant beauty was only outshined by her ability to demonstrate unconditional love to all those around her.
She is survived by her children: Phyllis (Michael) Acree, Patricia (Clarke) Reberg, Toni Marie Freel, George Anthony Giannone and Marie (Walter) Sulesky; her grandchildren: Destiny (Louis) Bitto, Tessa (Eric) Bailer, Tyler (Jessica) Acree, Brandon (Melissa) Freel, Antonio (Taylor) Acree, Phillip (Hannah Ridl) Acree, Brianna (Kayla) Freel, Sara Tolstyka, Andrew Tolstyka, Jessika Reberg, Mitchell Reberg, Gianna Sulesky, and Walter Sulesky; her great-grandchildren: Jonathan Price, Jordan Tippin, Colin Bailer, Corey Bailer, Isabella Freel, Rylee Freel, Amelia Acree, and Leana Acree.
