William W. Cassidy

William Warren Cassidy, age 81, of Highland, Michigan passed away at his home on Friday, July 7, 2017. Beloved husband of Patricia. Loving father of Bridget (Tony) Rossa, Timothy (Stephanie) Cassidy and Kevin (Nichole) Cassidy. Grandfather of Katy, Kevin, Christopher, Connor and Savannah Cassidy. Brother of Marilynn (Donald) Beaudoin and the late Lloyd (the late Mary Anne) Cassidy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Bill was a proud United States Army Veteran. He was retired from the Detroit Police Department and also from General Motors. He was a parishioner of Church of the Holy Spirit where he was involved in the Men's Club. Bill was a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus Council 8500. He was also in the Lieutenants and Sergeants Association. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm (Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:00 pm) at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black and Son Funeral Home, 3295 East Highland Rd., Highland, Michigan The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:45 am on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Colombiere Retreat Center, 9075 Big Lake Rd., Clarkston, MI 48346. Mr. Cassidy will lie in state from 10:15 am until the time of service. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery on Monday, July 17 at 10:00 am under the auspices of the United States Army. Memorial donations may be made to the Colombiere Retreat Center.
