Beloved mother of Pat (Craig) Hammill, Deborah Darby and Diane (Steve) Fenby. Loving grandmother of Eric (Kim) Hammill, Robert (Jennifer) Hammill and Kelly (Peter) Luzenski. Proud great grandmother of Justin, Heather, Samuel, Lindsey, Mallory, Jake, Louis and Theodore. She is also survived by one brother, Peter Izzi.
Mrs. Darby was a former member of St. Mary's of Redford Catholic Church. She enjoyed making art and liked to draw and paint. She was a homemaker much of her life. She loved to bowl and worked at a bowling alley. She worked with her daughter Diane and her grandson Eric at their first insurance agency.
The three enjoyed going out to lunch weekly on Fridays. She loved going out to eat, talking on the phone, going to movies, and spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren gave her exceptional joy. She will be very much missed.
Per her wishes, a private cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at a later date.
