

An was born in Battambang, Cambodia. He fled Cambodia in 1979 after the fall of Khmer Rough regime along with his wife and younger brother. An and his family lived in the refugee camp in Thailand from 1979 to early 1984. The family was moved to the Philippines in transit to life in the US from early 1984 to late 1984. An and the family arrived in the US (Holland, MI) on September 27, 1984. The family was sponsored by Montello Park Christian Reformed Church. An worked at K-Line Industry until his retirement in 2010.
An is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sophay, older half-brother Orn (Cambodia), younger sisters Yeun (Cambodia), Yoeung (France) and Yean (US), younger brother Kimsorn (US), younger half-brother Yoeub (Cambodia), and younger half-sisters Srey Pouv (Cambodia), Sinan (Cambodia) and many nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces.
An was preceded in death by his father Yem in 2005, mother Ith in 1976, younger brother Kimsan in 2016.
Visitation will be held on February 12, 2021 at 5:00 pm to 8:00pm at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street, Holland, Michigan. Funeral services will be held on February 13, 2021 at 10:00 am at Lakeshore Memorial Services.
