

Barbara Ann Canfield of Zeeland, born on February 1, 1936, in Traverse City, Michigan, to Leroy and Irene (Crawford) Boyer, passed away on December 18, 2025, at the age of 89. Barbara, affectionately known as Barb, lived a life full of cherished memories and loving relationships.
In her professional life, Barb dedicated 22 years as a bus driver for Zeeland Public Schools, a role she retired from with pride and a sense of accomplishment. Her commitment to her work and the children she transported was a testament to her caring nature.
Barb loved her family deeply. She was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Michael Hamlin, and a grandson, Ty Alexander Daniel Hakken. She is survived by her children: Michael Uskewicz, Robert Canfield, Candy (Daniel) Hakken, Cathy (Tom) Dykhouse, and Brad (Theresa) Canfield' 21 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
In her personal time, Barb enjoyed going to the movies, making trips back home to Traverse City, and watching The Price is Right and Criminal Minds. She had a particular fondness for chili dogs, a simple pleasure that brought her joy.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Cedar Memory Care Unit at Resthaven Maple Woods and Faith Hospice for their compassionate care of Barb.
At her request, no services are planned. Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens in Traverse City. In Barb's memory, please take time to partake in one of her favorite foods, a chili dog.
