David Howard Tarnow

David was born and raised in the Chicago area and later raised his family in LaGrange, Illinois. He was a proud US Army veteran who, following his retirement, moved to Michigan and settled in Holland in 2004.

David was married to Anne (Walker) for 63 years. He is survived by his children, Paul and his wife Beth Tarnow, and Jennifer and Mark Kaufmann. He was a beloved grandfather to Jonathan and Annalisa Kaufmann, Molly Kaufmann, Alex and Melissa Tarnow, Grant and Ashley Tarnow, Sophie and Trevor Green, and Amelia and Christopher Bradshaw. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Evelyn, Micah, Ezra, August, Lucy, Gianna, Crosby, and a baby on the way. He leaves behind many extended family members and friends.

David was an active member of Central Wesleyan Church, where he served as a greeter. He volunteered and thoroughly enjoyed his time with Meals on Wheels. In his leisure time, David loved to golf and sail, passions that brought him great joy.

David Howard Tarnow will be remembered for his warmth, service, and commitment to his family and community.

A memorial celebration of David's life will be 11:00am, Friday, December 19, 2025 at Central Wesleyan Church (in the Chapel, please use Entrance E or F).
