Dianna Lynn Dean

Dianna Lynn Dean of Lakeview, Michigan passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on September 20, 2024. Born in Jamestown, Michigan on March 10, 1948, she was a graduate of Hudsonville High School and attended Davenport Business College. She worked as a secretary until retirement. In her twenties, she traveled the nation with and married Wilbur James Walsh, living briefly in Texas before settling back in Michigan to raise children.

Dianna loved family, nature, and animals. She was an avid landscaper, enjoying the labor and satisfaction of yard work, from the first green in spring until the last leaf of fall. She was gifted at making any place she lived a home, warmly decorating with plants, paintings, statues, antique clocks, and other art objects she collected. Her interests also included storm-watching, birding, practicing karate, and watching Law & Order.

Loved by many, Dianna is survived by her daughters Nichole Commans, Danielle Walsh, son Michael (Lori) Walsh, grandchildren Tracey Commans, Tiffany Commans, Derik Commans, Karli Mae Commans, Jon Walsh, Owen Walsh, great-grandchild Charlotte Commans, brother Gregg (Chris) Dean, sisters Arla Webb, Merideth Smedley, and extended family members.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday, September 27, 2024 at 2:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm, at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street, Holland, Michigan 49424. An online condolence to the family can be made by visiting lakeshorememorial.com
