Elizabeth J Nelson

Elizabeth (Betty) Nelson passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 25, 2017 at the age of 93. She was born on June 6, 1924 in Biggers, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Della

Hatley, husband Warren Nelson, sisters Jo Gentry, Helen VanDyke, and brother Jim Hatley. She is survived by her children Lynn (Jim) Elkins, Jim Nelson and Rick (Nadene) Nelson and close and special

friend Patricia (Michael) Barton. She is also survived by her grandchildren Beth (Tim) Fecht, Jamie (Dennis) Muller, Missi Bastiaanse, Jen (Brett) Zeerip, Mattie (PJ) Larose, Lee (Laura) Nelson and Chase Nelson as well as many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed cooking, Bible study and spending time with her family and was always known to be happy and have a smile on her face. She

retired from Herman Miller in 1987 and was a member of the Church of Christ. The family wishes to thank Resthaven Care Center for her outstanding care over the past few years as well as Hospice of

Holland and wishes donations be given to those services in lieu of flowers.
