Mr. Ash was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Ash; 2 Grandchildren; a brother, Merel Ash; and his parents, Mary Viola Ash (Thornton) and Elmer Thomas Ash, Sr.
He is survived by his wife Thelma (Harris) Ash of Fennville, children, Rita (Bruce) Nyland, Tom (Kelly) Ash, Devetta (Dr. Franklin) Senters, Reyna (Paul) Dickensheets, Neda (Tim) Holt, Elmer C. (Melanie) Ash; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Lonnie Ash, Edward Ash, Wendall Ash, Winfred Ash, Richard Ash, Mary Cripe, Debbie Newman; many extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 12noon, Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at New Richmond Baptist Church, 1909 Transport Lane, Holland, MI.
Contributions can be made to the New Richmond Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of the service Wednesday at the church.
