Dad:  You gave me your daughter 42 years ago and knew I would love and protect her just as you loved and protected the love of your life Claudia.   You were always a good example for me as a Christian.  You helped up out in so many ways redoing our old house, always with a smile.   You are greatly missed, but we know we will meet again, and hear the rest of the story.

Grandpa, you have left me with so many wonderful memories. From the time you first won me over with your outstretched hand of M&Ms, to the hilarious "bucking bronco" rides. I will never forget the way you would "just look" at my loose tooth by yanking it out so fast I didn't know what happened:) You always found a way to make me laugh and feel loved no matter what I was going through, and for that I will be forever grateful.

I have no words to say how much Uncle Ernie has touched the lives of his "Georgia" family.  He was always there for us and we knew that he loved us beyond measure.  We will greatly miss him!!  The Georgia Family

We will all miss you so much.But is a comfort to know that your in the arms of Jesus .God be with the family ,you will be in our hearts forever.

My Beloved Ernie, what an amazing and devoted companion and friend you were. For the last 3 1/2 years we have enjoyed each others company to the fullest. I think back to one of the joyous times and how we would sit in the kitchen and look out your favorite window and admire the sunshine and the birds, but most of all being able to sit with you and have such great and memorable conversations. My dearest Ernie you have left me with beautiful memories and I will always have this piece of my heart that smiles whenever I think about you. But there is no real ending there is just a place where you stop in the story and say to be continued my dear.

What can you say about he man who was your Father.   He was a man who loved and wife and children and also treated us with that love.   Dad worked every day to provide a decent life of us.   He was always ready for music and fun and was always there for us kids.   He taught us to love the Lord above all else.   Will miss your stories and music Dad.   Love you so much.   I know you are praising the Lord and enjoying your time with Mom.

Was blessed to know him for over 50+ years. He was uncle Ernie to my girls Kim and Deb.  Loved so much by all. What a blessing with his singing and that guitar picking.  Touched all of our lives. Will never be forgotten. All the memories over the years.  Heaven has a real saint of God now and is rejoicing because he is now home. So wonderful that he crossed our paths.

Where to start...Ernie was a man of many words and to say that he was a great man doesn't even begin to describe him. He was such a kind and gentle soul and I can truly say that he had an infectious smile and attitude that would turn anybody else around in a split second. My family had the pleasure of being able to open our arms wide for Ernie and having him become apart of our family. This man has touched so many lives in so many places. You will be forever missed but never forgotten Ernie. We love you. 

In a bittersweet moment Another Angel has found their wings, and has set off on flight safe into the arms of God,and to those gone before him waiting and anticipating his arrival as Ernie makes his way into heaven.

May the Lord be with the family and friends of this strong, christian man.

I'm so Thankful to have had 25 years of you "grandpa" in my life ! So many wonderful times shared and laughs had when you were around ! 
A memory that I'll never forget is the day you told Dan and I we better have a boy to carry on the Wilson name ?? so much pressure lol seeings our first 3 kids were girls :) but we put you worries and mine :) at ease when Jordan arrived. Woo wee ! Lots of laughs about that one !! 
We all will Miss you terribly and will never forget the wonderful man you are and the awesome memories you left us with ! Lots of you lives on in your grandson !

My Dad was my hero, my Christian example, my inspiration and so much more.  His legacy will live on through me and my own family.  He shared God's word through his love of gospel music.  I an honored that he has passed that same love to me. You will be sorely missed until we meet again in Heaven.  I love you Dad.

Beloved brother Ernie will especially missed by his brother John (Leon). In the last few years my dad, John, and I have been lucky to spend time with Ernie reminiscing over stories from their childhood. Some of the tales my dad told seemed pretty farfetched until uncle Ernie not only verified them but added details that made them even more fantastic. Dad and I feel fortunate that we were able to spend precious time with Ernie and provide a small bit of comfort and companionship in his final months. He will be missed.

Knowing Ernie "Pops" made my life richer in so many ways.  His smile was infectious and his sense of humor was the best!  I enjoyed sitting with him listening to his life stories.  He will be truly missed but forever remembered!  He enriched many lives in many ways!
