

George was born October 9, 1940, in Flushing, MI to Russell and Ellen June Logan. He graduated Kersley High School, Flint, MI and Lancaster School of the Bible, Lancaster, PA, also later attending Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. He was ordained into the ministry 1967.
George's sole purpose in life was serving and preaching and teaching God’s Word. He Ministered at Hananeel House, Philadelphia, PA, Student Life Center Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, Jackson Bible Church, Jackson, MI and was Pastor of Potter’s Wheel Bible church from 1975 to present. His combined love was missions. He was chairman of the board for Fountain of Life School and ministry in the Dominican Republic and made life long friends there. Another love was the American Indian specifically the Navajo’s in the little village of Vanderwagon and Gallup New Mexico. He served as chairman of the board for Whitewater Gospel Mission in Vanderwagon New Mexico. He belonged to the Independent Fundamental Churches of America (IFCA). He served as moderator for the Budget Finance Committee and on the Credentials board. He has brought God’s Word to the SKLD and Royal Park residents for many years.
He served in the United States Marine Corps 1958 – 1963, and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA and Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan. George also served as a Chaplain to the Fred Cochran Marine Corp League Where he was named Marine of the Year for 2019.
For fun, George loved going to his “north” property to relax, study, fish and hunt with his long time friend Bob Raven. His ministry up north was his beloved Vietnam Veterans. He would make friends with anyone he met. In reality he was a very private person and enjoyed being alone with nature.
Some of George's brushes with the "rich and famous" include: Roy Rogers at his museum, Stuart Hamblen, gospel music composer, “Bowser” of Sha Na Na on a cruise ship, Ted Nugent while hunting in northern Michigan.
George is survived by his wife of 60 years Louise K. (Skinner) Logan; Children: Pat Logan Shoaf (Charles E.), Russell A. Logan (Mary), George "Gus" A. Logan II (Kristy), Tim A. Logan (Darcy); Nine Grandchildren; Six Great-grandchildren; Brother Gareth "Red" Logan (Maryann); Sister-in-law Shirley Skinner; Brother-in-law Gordon Skinner (Donna); Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Russell A. and Ellen June Logan; Mother-in-Law Dorothy Bishop, Father-in-law Harold Skinner; Daughter Susan A Logan; Granddaughter Lyndsey Erin Logan and unborn angels in heaven; Brother-in-law Dorwin Skinner.
Services will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021, 5:00 PM at Potter’s Wheel Bible Church, 137 N. State Street, Zeeland, MI, 49464.
A private family interment will be held at Maple Ridge Cemetery, Holt, MI at a later date
