Jamal Zakee Lee was born on August 28, 1977, in Chicago, Illinois. Son of Sheila Lee. He attended school at Piccolo Elementary and Westinghouse High School. At an early age he accepted Christ and he was baptized at Greater White Stone Baptist Church. He loved serving as an usher alongside his grandmother.
Jamal has 1 sibling Sheena Lee Owens. He didn't have children of his own, however he loved spending time with his niece Rashenay, and his nephew Ra’shon, who was named after him. “Zakee” and his God-son
Jamal loved being with his family. One thing he enjoyed was bowling with his grandmother and uncle Branden. He relocated to Holland, Michigan along with his mother and sister. He had various jobs. He was someone that really loved the great outdoors! One thing he enjoyed in particular was boating with friends after work and going out to eat.
Although he didn't drive he always made time to attend family functions. Jamal is known for his laughter and funny sayings like “Good Morning America!” and “I hope I don't have ta’slap the chap off anyone's lips today!”
He eventually moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he later fell asleep and is resting in God's memory. Jamal is survived by: His mother; Sheila Lee, Sister; Sheena, & her husband Rockshon, his neice Rashenay, & nephew Ra’shon. His Grandmother; Violet Lee, 3 Aunts; Sonya, Cookie, and Tornita, 3 Uncles; Branden and Danny and Scotty and an abundance of cousins and other loving family members.
We would like to give a special thanks to his friend Tiawana who stuck with him until the end and to Uncle Scotty for all your support. Jamal Zakee Lee will be missed by us all.
