To Jeans family- Jean was a childhood neighbor and friend on 18th St in Holland,Michigan.  We corresponded for years after I moved to Minnesota.
I am also 78 years old.

Jean will be missed by many.  She came into the store I work at (Younkers) and we always talked for awhile.  I will miss her requests on the request hour every Sunday.  I did not know she had passed away until I heard it on there today.  She was a good hearted lady and always concerned about others.

RIP Jean. Will miss you coming into the store. Jean was a very faithful customer at both D&W's... Zeeland and Holland. Praying for the family of Jean.

I remember a few years back when I was on my sons bike I fell off by my back porch,and fractured my wrist my son and Jean were walking back from the hiway  because their had been an accident and Jean knelt down beside my and held my hand and said a prayer for me she stayed by me until I was put in the ambulance, an said she would be by to see how I was doing, to me tha was something special I will cherish and never forget R.I.P. your friends,family and neighbors will miss you dearly   Diane Cartwright Zeeland

I remember Jean for her energy and enthusiasm, graciously volunteering to serve as cashier at the ZPS "Chili Friday!" suppers for many years. She always took time to greet the customers with a kind word.  Her enthusiasm for helping others will always be appreciated. My condolences to the family for your loss.

I have known Jean for years and I do not know anyone who cares more for other people and was as encouraging as she. She was amazingly faithful in her regular visits to those who were physically or emotionally hurting.  She loved making music for the Lord and allowing others to sing His praises through her musical gifts.  She is in heaven right now playing the best organ she has ever heard. So happy for her now! Jean's kind and positive demeanor and her consistent walk with God were very evident in her life.  She was so quick to offer help to those in need!  We have wonderful memories of this special lady, and we pray for God's comfort in your time of loss.

I didn't know Jean well, but I spoke with her a few times during potlucks after evening services at church (Ebenezer Reformed). I will miss talking to her about church, God and music.

Jean was a personal friend of our mother, Helen Telgenhof. They met at Ridgepoint Community Church and hit it off. When our mother passed away last year, we knew that top on our mom's list was to have Jean play the piano for her funeral. She played beautifully and added such a spiritual touch. She also reminded us of a poem that our mom loved and it meant so much to us that Jean would pay such attention to detail.  we know they are both rejoicing in heaven with their Savior, Jesus!

We are so sorry to hear about Jeans passing.  Jean was a devoted listener to WFUR radio station and she contributed many times to our Hymns By Request program.  We will miss hearing from her. It is good to know she is with her Lord and Savior.  WFUR Radio Staff

The ladies at Hilliard Lyons will miss our daily talks with her. We keep expecting her to call.  I have only known her for the last 5 years of her life and she was so caring and doing for everyone else but herself.  I know she built a lot of heavenly treasures while she was here living on earth.  God will bless her for all she did and gave.  Love,

So very sorry to hear about your Mother/Grandmother's passing.  Jean was a wonderful lady who LOVED music and she shared that passion.  My 15 year old son and her loved and shared a strong bond through music and enjoyed playing together a few times and he thoroughly enjoyed it!  We will miss talking to her Sunday mornings! Jean was a wonderful lady and always was so proud of the students and teachers she worked with in Zeeland. She always had a kind word whenever she saw us. May God bless her family and may you find comfort in the memories and knowing her memory will live on in  the people whose lives she touched.

Dear Dave & Gary, and families:  How sorry we were to read of Jean's death. Indeed, we have many memories that go way back--especially to Zeeland Chr. days when she helped me  by accompanying for me at various times.  Since then she has sporadically called me,often asking me to look for a particular song she has had trouble finding.  And then we always have fun catching up and comparing our various musical circumstances.  She was a true friend, loyal, and sincere--always willing!  I will miss "running into her" where ever!  May God grant you much peace and many special memories as you miss her.  May you feel God's face shining on you, and may you hear a special song in your head as you cope with her absence. Jean Boes was a beautiful person and a dear friend. She will be greatly missed. The Lord put her here for 78 years to help and bless others.Her prayers were dynamic, and she prayed fervently for others. She has many friends from Zeeland High  School who will never forget her energy and enthusiasm!

I worked with Jean during some of the time she was at Zeeland High School. I am so sorry for your loss.

Jean was such a blessing to me and our family when Basil passed away. She came to my brother's house and played and played the piano, one hymn after another, and really blessed our hearts and souls, just because she enjoyed doing doing this. Going to miss her but am assured she is playing a piano for the Lord Himself!
