Jill Ann Scholten

Born on August 7, 1951 in Holland, Michigan. Jill brought light and warmth into the lives of everyone she met. She was known for her gratitude, compassion, and selflessness, dedicating her life to her family and loved ones.

Jill has been married to Gary Scholten since December 10, 1971 and was the proud mother of three sons, Chris, Curt and Kyle, who were the center of her world. She found endless joy in nurturing them, supporting their dreams, and celebrating their achievements. Her guidance, unwavering prayers and love will forever shape their lives. She loved watching her grandchildren play sports and being out on her deck watching the wildlife and reflecting on her many years spent camping, fishing and bowhunting.

Her legacy of kindness, resilience, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Jill leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory, including her husband, Gary Scholten; her sons, Chris (April) Scholten & Curt (Patti) Scholten; her siblings, Craig (Irene) Nykamp, Debbie (Henry) Holthuis, grandmother to Caden, Addison, Easton & Carter Scholten and an Aunt to 6 nieces - Victoria, Christie, Lisa, Amy, Beth, & Amanda.

She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Cal & Arlene Nykamp, sisters Jan Schultz, Pam Nykamp & son Kyle Scholten.

A celebration of Jill’'s life will be held on January 4 at Lakeshore Memorial 11939 James St, Holland, MI 49424. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00pm with a service directly following at 5:00pm for friends and family. Burial will occur at North Holland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her honor to Hospice of Holland, reflecting her gratitude for all the wonderful people that helped her during her final weeks.

Jill will be deeply missed, but her legacy of faith and love will live on. We celebrate in the promise of eternal life and the assurance that we will meet her again in Heaven.
