John Edward Kasza, 72, made his transition from this journey on March 1, 2026 back into the love and light of our amazing loving energy source. John will always be remembered for his compassionate and loving spirit he radiated. He was a very proud, and romantic man, who made those around him feel seen, supported, and valued.
John was born on May 23, 1953 to William and Florence Kasza (both decreased). John enjoyed childhood days in Scottsbluff, NE managing his paper route, running cross country and enjoying his studies in school, spending time with his grandparents and blackberry shakes. John attended the University of Nebraska in the ROTC program, graduating in 1976 with a chemical engineer degree. During his time in the ROTC program, he spent a summer on a submarine and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. He was commissioned to serve in Washington DC, but was medically discharged due to his health condition. John accepted a position with Dow Chemical bringing him to Michigan in 1976. John treasured his time with Dow Chemical until downsizing brought him to Grand Rapids. The universe set this up for the future path to Diana. While in Grand Rapids, he worked for a software company and later landed a position as a supply chain analysist with, SAF Holland in Muskegon and later moved to the Holland office. John retired early in 2017 due to health issues.
In 2006, John met his wife, Diana Kasza, at a ballroom dance lesson. Together, they often frequented these events and their shared love of dancing became a meaningful part of their life together. They were married in August of 2012. During the past 20 years, John always felt welcomed and loved by Diana’s family; he leaned into being a grandparent which brought him great love and joy. He was an angel gift to Diana. It is now a gift he receive all the love and light as he baths in the spiritual energy.
John carried a deep compassion for everyone he met and/or read about leaning into his desire that all deserved to be loved. John “showed up” for those he shared life’s path, he was always ready to offer support and a kind word. He quickly engaged in attending sporting events; football, golf, baseball, motocross, volleyball, etc. for his new found family. A hopeless romantic, he also enjoyed photography, model airplanes, watching sports, traveling, playing cards, action movies, spending time with friends, and a supreme gopher. John loved being a member of Toastmasters club in Holland. He was an active member of UOAA both nationally and the Muskegon chapter supporting their mission. John was involved with his church, Unity on the Lakeshore in Douglas, MI
